Red Knights Raise $500 for Cerebral Palsy

Red KnightsCerebral Palsy Association of the North Country was the recipient of a $500 donation from the Red Knights Motorcycle Chapter NY 35.  The money was raised at the 2nd Annual Charity Ride for the Cerebral Palsy Association of the North Country on May 30th.   Twenty nine riders left Fireman’s Field in Hannawa Falls at 11am for the 130 mile ride which included stops in Tupper Lake, Lake Clear, St. Regis Falls, and Parishville.  The day ended with prizes and a BBQ.The Red Knights International Motorcycle Club is made up of active and retired firefighters, with 300 chapters nationwide. New York Chapter 35 was formed in early 2007, in northern St. Lawrence County, and has grown to over 50 members.  The purpose of the local chapter is to promote brotherhood, enjoy family oriented motorcycling, and raise monies for local charities.The donation will be used to provide services to children and adults with cerebral palsy and similar service needs.Cerebral Palsy Association of the North Country advocates for individuals with cerebral palsy and similar service needs, and their families, in the counties of St. Lawrence, Franklin, Clinton, Essex and Jefferson.  They provide individuals with lifelong opportunities and choices that promote independence, inclusion and an enhanced quality of life.  For more information call 315-386-1156, or www.cpnorthcountry.org.For more information about the Red Knights or if you would like to join this chapter, please contact Ted Coller at 384-4639.
