Family Services

  • There are two separate free presentations which use dolls and puppets to engage young children in exploring the value of people's differences and becoming more comfortable with people that have disabilities.

    • Medicaid Service Coordination (MSC) - Medicaid Service Coordinator or MSC meets with you to discuss services available though the Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) a plan is developed to meet your specific service needs and desires which focuses on a broad range of activities. In order to receive this service: 
  • This program offers a family or individual a yearly amount ($300 in 2007) of funds to spend on themselves for goods and services that are not covered by Medicaid. Funds allow families to purchase goods and services that will enhance skills of the individual, improve the home environment, and help develop the cognitive and physical needs of the family member with disabilities.
