Individualized Residential Alternatives (IRAs)

IRAs (Individualized Residential Alternatives) are supervised or supportive housing opportunities certified by New York State OPWDD (Office for People With Developmental Disabilities) and available for eligible individuals with developmental disabilities. Currently, Cerebral Palsy of The North Country supervises residences in the communities of Canton, Massena, Potsdam, Hammond, Brasher Falls, Norwood, Morley, and Colton with 3-5 people living in each home.  Each person receives individualized services, specific to their needs and desires, to live as independently as possible.  A model based on "person-centered care" is what allows our team to provide an Oasis of Opportunity here in the North Country.

Opportunities are available to individuals age 18 or older.
