IRAs and Supportive Apartments

IRAs (Individualized Residential Alternatives) are supervised or supportive housing opportunities certified by New York State OMRDD (Office of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disability) and available for eligible individuals with developmental disabilities. Currently, CP of The North Country supervises residences in the communities of Canton, Potsdam, Hammond, Brasher Falls, Norwood, Ogdensburg and Colton with 3-4 people living in each home. Supportive Apartments, with one person living in each, are located in Ogdensburg, Canton and Potsdam. Each person receives individualized services, specific to their needs and desires, to live as independently as possible. Opportunities are available to individuals age 18 or older.
